  1. hello to all ...
i am sulbha bakshi an engineer from vidisha a latest member of this blog.I attended durga puja 2010 and it was a great experience for all the members of my family but i want to say that the only thing which was hurting was the biased behavior of the committee members of the association. All the members of my family tried to involve in the environment of the festival but i guess the ppl are not having a big heart for the new members.Anyway I will come again next year and try hard again to join you, hope to have a positive and a manner-full response from the place.
    thank you.

  2. Dear Sulbha,
Your experience for the first time with us is really distressing!

We make an apology for that; because, Durga Puja is a festival of all Bengalis. Still, please thing other way round. There are numerous people come every day during puja, and everybody expects a special treatment in all the time. But situation differs, this might heart you. We, people of this blog, will surely convey your thoughtful comments to responsible persons in the Association.

Kindly send your telephone and e-mail ID to us.
And, above all, please keep writing in this blog on a regular basis.

    Suvo Bijoya.

  3. Hello ,
First of all thank you for the response. Here I want to make a clear vision for you that for me, there is a big difference between being FARE and providing SPECIAL TREATMENT.We all came to have blessings of Maa and we got it,this is the only treatment we expected from maa only.We know that you people are having a great responsibility to conduct the occasion successfully .the only thing which is unacceptable is the BIASED BEHAVIOR,that i already mentioned in my first comment. Being FARE and GIVE CHANCE to others also to participate in all things do not need to give special treatment ,but yes it just need to have a big heart to accept all the new Bengali families to join the festival and make it enjoyable for all not for FEW ONLY in this holy occasion. Rest you know better and i am not going to stretch this anymore as I am again coming next year to make one more try from my side.
    THANK YOU.

  4. Dear Sulbha--- I am happy that you are quite frank with your opinion. As Secretary of the Association I take your critic in the right spirit. Although we strive to do our best but the biased behaviour that you mention may be due to not knowing people among the crowd as you feel as an outsider. Once you keep coming regularly not only during pujas but also on other occasions e.g. Poila Baisakh, Rabindra Jayanti and other various functions you will not feel out of place but will feel one amongst us. You are also welcome to associate in case you have any talent or want to do something for the society please feel free to get in touch with us.Good Luck and God Bless You Salil Chatterjee Secretary, TT Nagar, Bhopal.

  5. Respected Mr. Salil sir,
Thank you for the appreciative start towards my responses. I live in Vidisha so being regular on each function is quite unpractical for my family due to the fact that i completed my engineering this June 2010 and i am having a tough and rigid schedule. One more thing that changes in my schedule of life can change the others behavior is quite difficult to take in and if changes are required at only our end then i 'll try my level best to get the best.
Thank you so much for your precious time and sporty attitude.

  7. To see bengalees outside Kolkata celeberating Puja in such a great way takes me back to the days when i was either studying or working in Jabalpur or Gwalior or Sagar. I congratulate all the Bengalees of Bhopal and wish them a Subho Bijoya on this occassion. I am settled at Kolkata since 1995 and would look forward to participate in the celeberations if health permits sometimes in the coming years. Rathin Bannerjee, DUM DUM, Kolkata.
