BANGLA UTSAV 2011 RESCHEDULED

BHOPAL, March 04 : M P Bangiya Parishad, organisers of BANGLA UTSAV 2011, the first ever combined festival of Bengali fragrance, has decided a change of dates in an important meeting today evening. The event, originally scheduled to be held at Ravindra Bhavan, Bhopal on 02-04 April 2011, will now take place at the same venue from May 20 to 22, 2011. 

The decision to reschedule the event has been taken in view of concerns raised by several subcommittee heads over recent developments of  Assembly Election in West Bengal and shortage of time limit. The committee have come to the conclusion that the best approach is to reschedule this year’s event from April first week to May Third week this year. 

Organisers have expressed their hopes that rescheduling of this festival will give more room to bring participants from West Bengal; at that same time all subcommittees will get time toward a structured approach to accomplish their respective goal. 

President A K Bhattacharya, Secretary Salil Chatterjee, Covenor Shipra Bhattacharyya, Treasurer Ashima Mukherjee along with Anoop Ghosh (Plenary), Parantapa Choudhury (Cultural), B K Ganguly (Cuisine), Pramatha Devnath (Resource Management), Prasanta Majumder (Exhibition) and other senior persons of M P Bangiya Parishad were also present in this meeting.
