POILA BOISHAKH OF 1418 CELEBRATED
On the eve of Noborsho, the Bengali Association, T.T.Nagar organized a musical show at Kalibari. The evening reverberated with traditional Bengali songs sung by Kalyan Chakraborty, a renowned Bengali singer and his troupe from Kolkata.
“We celebrate all our functions with enthusiasm and vitality. It is a festive atmosphere for us and music is closely associated with all Bengali festivities” said Salil Chatterjee, Secretary, Bengali Association. The evening was a tranquilising blend of Rabindra Sangeet, folk songs and scrumptious Bengali cuisine.
Arera Bangiya Parishad celebrated the Noboborsho with a quality cultural performance in a blend of songs, recitation, dance and a short play “Komolakanter Jobanbondi” by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay. The play was directed by Sarit Chatterjee.
BHEL Bangiya Sanskritik Parishad distributed Bengali New Year Calendars to all.
